According to a study initiated by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, In the United States there are estimated 6 million people currently living with paralysis.  The leading cause of spinal cord injuries are work related, followed by motor vehicle accidents. Estimated lifetime costs due to spinal cord injury can range from $681,843 to over $3 million for a 25 year old.
